“Bruce” was born from the idea of a child wanting a playmate.
It was that simple.
The Christmas after the loss of my husband was when this story idea came to me. It came to me in such a strong way and so quickly, that just scribbling ideas down was insufficient.
It wasn’t a story I was going to put on the back burner to write later. I grabbed my laptop and started writing there and then. I didn’t stop until draft one was completed. The ideas flowed so quick and fast.
My inspiration for this….a child I used to spend a lot of time with. As I wrote, every word, action and mannerism, i could see through his eyes. My inspiration brought the story to life.
