After watching the 2023 Rugby League Season, and seeing her team storm up the ladder to number 2, what is a girl to do?
This girl got her act in gear. First stop was Ticketek for a seat to the final game of 2023. Brisbane Broncos v Melbourne Storm. If we won, we were Minor Premiers. If we lost, that was okay. We were in the Finals Series and that was the big picture.
But then this crazy Broncos fan thought about the night out and went one step further. She booked herself a hotel room. Gambaro Hotel
Travel Time & Plans
The travel time from home to Gambaro Hotel is a little under 2 hours. I made a full day. I started with some retail therapy. I followed that with lunch at The Bardon Shed. I met friends there for a good catch up and chat.
Then after lunch and coffee, Gambaro was calling my name. I drove to the hotel and handed my keys to the valet.
Accomodation
Whenever my late husband and I went to the last game of the Broncos season, Gambaro Hotel was always the hotel of choice. The standards of the hotel are second to none. The rooms are large and well equipped. I had also been upgraded to a larger room. Even though my stay was one night only, it just made it a little more comfortable.
Location
Gambaro hotel is located on Caxton Street, very close to Suncorp Stadium .You are quite literally, in the centre of all the action. For those who know ‘game nights’ well, Caxton Street is closed down during the games. Local pubs and clubs spill out to the street, the masses of people being able to join them safely as they exit Suncorp.
Weather
At 26 degrees with no sign of rain, it was sublime. Spring starts tomorrow.
What’s there to do.
There is much to do in Brisbane. Museums, galleries, shopping, cinemas and sporting events. However, I was here for one night and one thing.

I was here for one night and one thing. Brisbane Broncos v Melbourne Storm. I went to the game at Suncorp. It took me less than 5 minutes to walk to the stadium from my room.
Did we win?
No, but we live to fight another day!
