The brewery was a conception of an adrenaline junkie with a business mind and a love of good food. Throw that in with a surfer with a passion for beer, and you can expect the birth of a new venture. That’s exactly what happened. 24th November 2015, the Sunshine Brewery was born.
It took time, learning, making mistakes, fixing those mistakes, tripping up, getting up and much more, but the brewery has gone from strength to strength. Now almost 8 years later, it’s well known on the Sunshine Coast.

First Impressions.
If you didn’t know it was there, if you weren’t looking for it, you may drive past it. It’s only when I found it on the internet, that I sourced it out and went there. What looks like an old tin shed from the outside, opens up into a pub inside. Tables, chairs, plenty of atmosphere and relics for you to look at. There are plenty of good size tables, after all…we often go out in groups and end up having to push several tables together. Not here!
Location
Fishermans Road, Kuluin. The location is a well-known road and on an industrial area.
Menu
This is not somewhere that does a daily food menu. It’s a little different to the average waterhole. The Sunshine Brewery has ‘events.’ Those events are food trucks. Already in Jan there have been Asian Street Eats and King of the Wings. Yet to come this month are Pizza Thursday and Greek food as well as Luke from the SlowSmoke BBQ on Australia Day
Pricing
The menu is very well priced. When I went for the wings (anyone that knows me will be giggling now – I love my wings) I got 2 portions for $20. Great portion size but tasted so nice went back, for a second lot.

Service
The service is great cheerful staff who know their stuff. Staff who could happily tell me which of their beers/ales were closest to one that my dad likes (Little Creatures)
Food truck service exceptional. Orders bought and paid for. You head back in for a drink and a text pings on your phone when your order is ready for collection. Great system.
Would I return to this establishment?
Yes, without a doubt.

Thank you for having us Sunshine Brewery. The food was beautiful and my dad most certainly enjoyed the ales he tried. We will be back!
