I have been wearing the ocean all day.

The sounds of waves, the rage of the tide.

All ringing in my ears.

I’ve been wearing the ocean all day.

But the sand stays soft beneath my feet.

The ocean rises.

I wear it over my feet

Rising to my ankles as it pushes on and on trying to take me.

The ocean rises.

I wear it at my knees as it batters me trying to make me fall.

The ocean rises.

My shoulders are where I wear the waves.

The ocean rises.

Above my head.

I wear the ocean.

I am the ocean.
