Ricks Garage was born in 2002 when the owner Rick and his wife Lisa bought the property. Several years of hard grind and the rest is history.
Ricks Garage sits at 14-16 Margaret Street, Palmwoods. It is one of those places that I had driven past on many occasions, always making a point about wanting to go. Eventually I did. I have been several times now!
Palmwoods itself, has many parking spots throughout the town. There are several street parking spots outside Ricks Garage, and if you are lucky you can grab one of them. Failing that, there are several local streets that have parking places that can be utilised.
Located on Margaret Street. in Palmwoods, you cannot miss it as you drive out towards the Sunshine Coast hinterland. From my Buderim home, it is about 15 minutes.
There is a wide variety across the menu, from calamari to corn bread. Chicken and Nachos. Burgers, hot dogs and more. The menu also boasts bottle and tap beers and ales as well as ciders. The standard of the food is superb. Its adaptable too, so if you wanted a burger and no onion, they would accommodate that. The “Wings Wednesday” deal is a great one and always popular!
Prices are varied but start at a low $6 for entrees and reach a very reasonable $32 for ‘Ricks famous Big one’. Lets just say, its a burger and it has well, everything in it! its an 1.1kg burger!!! For two people to eat and have a drink, I don’t think we’ve ever spent over $55.
Find your table and head up to the bar to order. The service is always good. The staff are friendly and will always have a laugh with you while you’re there.
WOULD I RETURN?
Oh, without a doubt. Ive been back on several occasions and will be back again soon.
